Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance to I need to book my wedding cake?
Please book your wedding date as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment. I will only take on two or three commissions each week and tend to get booked up quite quickly and far in advance.
How do I book a wedding cake?
To book me you will need to confirm the date is still available, print off and fill in the booking form from the website and send it in to me with the £100 booking fee to secure the date. The balance is due 4 weeks prior to the date.
Do I need to choose a wedding cake before booking?
You do not need to have chosen your wedding cake to book me, the most important thing initially is to secure the date. Final details will be confirmed approximately two or three months before the wedding date.
Can I choose different flavoued tiers?
You do not need to have a fruit cake for your bottom tier or in fact in any of your tiers. You may of course choose a different flavour for each tier and is highly encouraged.
Do I need to choose a cake from one of the galleries?
You do not need to choose a cake from the galleries, these are cakes that I have already made for clients so if you've seen something you like elsewhere or would like to mix and match any of mine, that is perfectly okay.
Can I change anything on the cakes or are they fixed designs?
Even if you choose a cake from my gallery I would encourage you to change it up a bit either by changing the ribbon colour or adding diamantes or extra piping etc, just to make it your wedding cake and not a copy of someone else's.
How can I pay for my cake?
Payments may be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer. I do not have a card machine at present.
